“Mediation - The Future of Solving Commercial Disputes?"
“Medierea - Viitorul soluţionarii disputelor de afaceri?"

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, the 09th March, from 5pm - 7pm in the comfortable No. 8 Cafe (Strada T. Burada nr. 8) right in the center of Iasi.
In an open discussion, we would like to share our experiences and knowledge in mediation. The focus of the meeting is on "Solving Business Disputes", (e.g. in Banking and Trade), where mediation, as a modern alternative to litigation, offers immense opportunities to save time and money. Furthermore, Commercial Mediation is a risk-management tool with high potentials, especially during this crisis!

Get in touch with us at the "Networking Coffee". We would like to find out about your experiences of dealing with business disputes and where mediation can be helpful. Network with fellow Businessmen&-women, mediators and trainers in the non-committal atmosphere of "No. 8 Cafe".

Concept - The Growing Trend 2007

Regional Facilitation and Negotiation Centre– Romania is organizing the international event: “The Growing Trend – Mediation”, which will take place between the 14th and 16th of September 2007 in Iasi, Romania.

There will be a one day conference and two day training on advanced mediation techniques.

Conference “The Growing Trend – Mediation
14th September 2007
The conference includes an exciting collection of international speakers presenting on a wide variety of interesting and innovative mediation topics. The goals of the event are to provide a wide range of information, skill-building, and thought-provoking discussion on the emerging issues in mediation around the world from community mediation, peacemaking to mediation in business, banking and politics.

Training Programme “Advanced Mediation Techniques” and “Conflict Transformation through Peaceful Means”
15th – 16th September 2007

The training “Advanced Mediation Techniques” is designed for professionals who are already trained in mediation and want to master advanced conflict resolution skills.

You will have the opportunity to interact with experts with wide international experience as trainers, mediators, peacemakers.

Who should attend:

  1. Lawyers and alternative dispute resolution practitioners, judges, members of the judiciary, legislators, and students of law, academics and all Legal professionals concerned with the alternative dispute resolution programmes.
  2. Representatives from companies, banking and industry, interested in finding new solutions for effective partnerships in business
  3. Policy makers, political leaders, government officials and decision makers at the international level, involved in promoting mediation as an alternative to the courts.
  4. Sociologists, psychologists and any other professionals or students with an interest in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution programmes.
  5. Peacemakers, banking personnel, business personnel, from fields such as mobile phones industry.

 

Language

The working language of the event is English. Only translation from and into Romanian will be provided.
